About the School
St. Peter's N.S. is a co-educational Church of Ireland primary school situated in the heart of the historic town of Drogheda on Ireland's east coast. The school currently employs 4 class teachers and 1 Special Education Teacher. The pupils who attend the school come from Drogheda and the surrounding area.
In our school pupils experience a sense of caring and belonging, where moral values such as honesty, truthfulness, justice, fairness, sensitivity to others, and civic responsibility are nurtured and protected.
The work of the school is conducted in an atmosphere of tolerance and respect for religious differences. Though St. Peter's N.S. is a protestant school the enrolment policy of the school allows for children of other faiths and none to enroll.
The subjects taught in the school are:
Mathematics, English, Irish, Music, Visual Arts, Physical Education, History, Geography, Science, Drama, Social, Personal and Health Education, French, Religious Education (Church of Ireland syllabus).
The Board of Management of St. Peter's N.S. is supported by an active Parent Teacher Association.
